Beginning on Monday, we will begin a daily series of posts from our bloggers reflecting on the many facets of Pope Francis’ recent interview. The immediate reaction to the pope’s wide-ranging discussion has been very diverse, and, having had time to digest it, we thought it would be opportune to develop further some of the wisdom contained in it. David Cloutier
David Cloutier is associate professor of theology at The Catholic University of America, in Washington, DC. He graduated from Carleton College with a B.A. in chemistry and religion, and received his Ph.D. from Duke University. He formerly held the Knott Professorship in Catholic Theology at Mount St. Mary's University (MD), where he also directed a year-long seminar on the Catholic Intellectual Tradition for tenure-track faculty across the University.
