John R. T. Berkman is associate professor of moral theology at Regis College, the University of Toronto, where he also directs the Lupina Centre for Spirituality, Healthcare, and Ethics. He received his Ph.D. from Duke University, and co-edited The Pinckaers Reader (with Craig Titus, Catholic University of America Press, 2005) and The Hauerwas Reader (with Michael Cartwright, Duke University Press, 2001). He has published many journal articles on medical ethics and biotechnology, and has research interests in Thomistic moral theology and environmental/animal ethics.
